Sexual Trauma Team
The Sexual Trauma Team (STT) is a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week service to bring strength and support to persons who are sexually assaulted. It may be your first source of help. Law enforcement agencies and hospitals will automatically call out the STT on behalf of these victims or call the Crisis Line to get help.

Shelter House, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization serving the survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Shelter House partners with COPE Center in the development of comprehensive Sexual Trauma Response Team (STRT) in Walton County. Contact points for responders to Sexual Assault calls in Walton County are reached through our 24-hour hotline. Our goal is to provide comprehensive response to all victims of violence.

Victim services are provided to all victims of domestic violence who are assigned to Hurlburt Field and Eglin AFB. This is not limited to married couples; services are also available to victims who may be single, i.e. active duty, family members, and military retirees and their beneficiaries. Services include assistance with restraining orders, accompanying victims to court, medical appointment and meetings with command. The Victim Advocate is a valuable community resource as a liaison for victims of domestic violence. Limited victim support services for sexual assault victims. Services are on a 24-hour, 7-day per week basis.

Serves as an initial point of contact for victims of crime, and provides victim with information as to case status, court orientation and other assistance.
